Rotary switches

WASP designs and manufactures a wide range of rotary switch that covers all the requirements of modern front panel technology.

Wasp has BS:EN:ISO9001:2000 approval and can offer a complete service from concept to production, including any necessary tooling.

Each range is offered with standard switching arrangements, customised front end stainless steel spindle, and all are panel and spindle sealed.

Whilst each switch has its own unique properties, our designs use standard parts that can be easily used to construct a customised switch.

Within the switch range WASP also manufacture a Rotary Solenoid (ACTURN) for assemble and action with a rotary switch or operated independent. This is truly rotary solenoid with no linear motion and give a high torque for a small device of 35 mm diameter. Since the design is for rotary motion only the speed of action is extremely fast at 25 milliseconds on a 35-degree throw. The Acturn can be fitted with a spring return mechanism for single operation or can be used with a double acting unit to allow for two-way action.
