Within days of the new Quality Standard, ISO 9001-2008, being announced, Wessex Advanced Switching Products (WASP) were granted full accreditation under the new standards to replace their 2001 award, making them one of the first UK manufacturing companies to achieve the latest recognition of quality.

This new standard applies throughout the company's manufacturing of touch screens, rotary switches, keypads and membranes and their aviation products which include seat and suite controls and cabin lighting.

ISO 9001 is by far the world's most established quality framework, currently being used by around 897,000 organizations in 170 countries worldwide, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.

In addition to their engineering and manufacturing skills and expertise, WASP also offers a full Qualification and Certification service for products used in the aviation industry. The company offers qualification of products to Boeing and Airbus standards including RTCA DO-160, D6-36440 and ABD0100 amongst others.
