NON TACTILE
A flat switch with printed overlay usually with flexible tail with or
without a connector fitted
TACTILE
A polyester layer or metal domes are used to give a positive feel and response to each switch.
TACTILE PLATFORM EMBOSSED
The top layer is embossed giving a raised platform over each switch area.
RFI SCREENING
This can be achieved using various techniques including screen-printed silver, mesh or ITO coated polyesters
WINDOWS
These are supplied as required – very often cost savings can be achieved with clever circuit design using the material discarded in the window area.
PCB BACKED MEMBRANES
Tactile, non-tactile with or without embossing are offered with PCB back rigid membranes. Added components can be placed on the board used for the switching circuit allowing a cost saving by reducing existing PCB’s or metal front panel. These can be supplied with mounting studs, cutout and holes to customer requirements.
CONNECTOR
Flexible membranes are available with or without a 0.1” pitch female connector fitted to a flexible tail. On rigid PCB backed panel a connector of your choice of pins can be fitted.
ILLUMINATION
General overall illumination can be effected with EL panel or light guides using LED’s or lamps. For individual single point lighting LED’s or lamps can be used.
BACK PLATES
WASP can offer metal back panel with customer requirements for cutout, holes studs etc.
RIM EMBOSSING
This is a raise edge all around each switch
SURFACE TEXTURES
Various surface finishes are available including UL coating, matt or textured to your requirements.
SECRET TIL LIT
This design is obtained to give the effect of no button or illumination until required.
INTERCHANGEABLE LEGENDS
Where the end user wishes to change legends WASP can offer a preprinted polyester sheet that can be inserted between the front and the circuit to give custom changes without replacing the entire panel.
